Meet Lisbette J. Baltazar
Education: California State University, San Marcos, cum laude, B.A. in Political Science California Western School of Law, Juris Doctor
Lisbette J. Baltazar is a first-generation college graduate and law school graduate. Her parents immigrated from Mexico and raised her in North County, San Diego. Because of her background, she is fluent in Spanish and English.Â
She stayed local and graduated from the California State University of San Marcos. While attending college and law school, Ms. Baltazar worked as a legal assistant at a law firm in Vista, CA. While at law school, she volunteered at non-profit organizations in employment law, immigration law, criminal law, and personal injury law. After learning more about the judicial system while in high school, she decided to become an attorney.Â
Currently, Baltazar specializes in criminal defense. She volunteers at a San Diego firm of La Raza Lawyers during her free time and fosters cats for a non-profit organization. In helping her clients obtain justice, Ms. Baltazar is always willing to go above and beyond. The confidence and respect of her peers are well-deserved.

Meet Joanne P. Sanchez

Joanne P. Sanchez is a criminal defense attorney the law firm. Her legal career began as a senior paralegal in a mid-sized law firm in Los Angeles. She gained experience in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, the most complex type of bankruptcy.Â
She attended law school after several years. While there, she interned at several places, including The Primary Public Defender’s Office and the Multiple Conflict Office. She assisted in a murder trial that ended in an acquittal; Casa Cornelia Law Center, a public interest law firm that provides quality pro bono legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations.Â
There she worked in the Victims of Crime unit, where she assisted victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, others applying to asylum, and VAWA and/or U-Visas. As a result of her legal background, she has successfully litigated cases in the first and second chairs. With all the areas of law in which she has worked, Joanne has had the opportunity to help various people. She prides herself on achieving the best results for her clients.
